Russia’s Scheme
God’s Victory; an explanation of Russia’s actions on the world stage under the light of Scripture
Even as this is being written, Russia’s attack on Ukraine continues, with tanks rumbling over city streets, jets cutting the air, missiles wreaking havoc, bombs driving civilians to shelter and troops encroaching on three fronts. The Russian czar works his evil, dressing his actions as a righteous conquest, to placate anyone who will be fooled. Or perhaps he believes his own lie, mollifying his cold heart to steal a land left vulnerable by the inaction of her so-called friend nations, who were glad to be her ally in times of peace.
Unprovoked by violence, threats or evil, Vladimir Putin seeks to incorporate the resource-rich territories north of the Black Sea into his country by way of fear and the shedding of blood. Threatening nuclear war against nations who might intervene, he has devised schemes in private rooms to plunder a chunk of the world.
He’s launched this attack at the cost of Russian men as well, who’s families also pray in times of war. Did he need to convince the Russian people to mobilize against Ukraine? Was there a vote? No. Czars command and their people obey, rather than face prison.
They Must
Unlike the United States, Russia’s army consists of men who must serve, as a matter of law. Compulsory military service for men ages 18 to 27 has been a reality in Russia for a long time. The rich, however, stand above those rules, gaining exemptions with a wink and a bribe. This is the way of things in Russia, a country of dominated souls, who want a better tomorrow for their children.
The poor of Ukraine and Russia are paying the price for Putin’s war. Ukraine’s poor, because they haven’t the money or connections needed to flee. Gathering in Churches, basements, and subways, they wait in prayerful fear, hoping the Ukrainian flag will still be flying when they emerge.
As for Russia’s poor, they pay the toll of war because they dare not tell their sons to refuse to fight, knowing the ugly consequences. The elderly, women and children have been left behind to watch the shortening shadows of their west-bound young men disappear into unknown danger.
They Speak
Some Russian subjects, however, believe their meager voices might still be heard. A few, tragically, think Putin can be softened by their tears.
What a sad state the former Soviet Union is in, with Russians being arrested for protesting the attack on Ukraine, likely because they have family and friends there. Bravely they raise their banners and signs, just to have a voice toward peace. Sadly, their sacrifice will not stop Vladimir, whose heart is old iron, grown cold with ambition. Can Putin’s mind be known? God knows the thoughts and intents of his heart (Hebrews 4:12).
Russia’s attack is Frightening, but God is not afraid. On the contrary, His prophet Ezekiel wrote about our present time. Within the words of Ezekiel 38 and 39 is the end of fear caused by evil men. There will be victory and restoration, vindicating those who now suffer.
I pray Vladimir reads these words, though he won’t absorb them until after he’s dead.
“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Hebrews 10:31.
A Telling of Two Futures
In many Churches, the battle foretold in Ezekiel 38 and 39 has been grouped together with the battle in the book of Revelation, chapter 20, as well as the battle of Armageddon. This is unfortunate, but understandable, since some of the same names are used, along with some common geography.
A closer look at the twentieth chapter of Revelation reveals how that battle won’t happen until the end of the 1000 year reign of Christ, after His return. Setting that battle aside, as it will take place at least 1000 years in the future, what are the differences between the siege of Gog and Armageddon? For clarity, it is crucial to establish this before embarking upon a study of Ezekiel 38–39.
After a cursory read, the dots seem to connect between these two battles, even though there are key differences. For example, all the armies of the earth converge on Israel at Armageddon, where only select nations and peoples come with Gog, as shown by Ezekiel. Prior to Armageddon, Israel stands as the lone nation opposing the world, as all nations but Israel will be allied with antichrist. Somehow, the Jews will have become a superpower, by that time, opposing the entire earth and garnering a peace treaty with Satan’s leader.
With Gog’s forces, however, there is no mention of a treaty. He lays siege to Israel to gain money, while other nations, many of whom have been friendly toward Israel in history, only protest Gog’s actions. Since there will be nations who protest Gog’s siege, Gog cannot be antichrist, nor can his siege be a precursor to Armageddon. Again, before Armageddon, all nations will come against Israel, not for money, but to destroy her.

A Crisis of Evil
Focusing on Ezekiel 38 and 39, how are current world events tied to this prophecy? As a beginning, here’s what the Bible reveals about Gog’s doom.
I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains,
declares the Lord GOD.
Every man’s sword will be against his brother.
With pestilence and bloodshed,
I will enter into judgment with him,
and I will rain upon him
and his hordes
and the many peoples who are with him
torrential rains and hailstones,
fire and sulfur.
Ezekiel 38:21–22
This will be the fate of Gog and his massive army, in days to come. An earthquake, fratricide, disease, hail and falling fire will kill his forces where they stand, having gathered to subjugate Israel like a cloud covering their land.
Since the pictural language describing Gog’s army as a cloud covering the land is mentioned twice in chapter 38, Bible students are to take notice. This will be a monster force, conservatively numbering upwards of fifty million troops. Never before in recorded history has an army this large been assembled. Even ancient Persia’s conquest of Greece cannot compare, having an army numbering around one million.
Eliminating any plausible explanation of some natural phenomenon wiping out this horde, God will also rain fire and sulfur upon men living thousands of miles to the east. Those evil persons, who will believe they are safe, will learn a different reality. God’s reality. Perhaps these men are the ones currently planning the siege of Israel.
“I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands,
and they shall know that I am the LORD.”
Ezekiel 39:6 ESV
The question is, where is the land called Magog? Where are the coastlands of Magog?
Magog is in the territory of Russia, as shown on the map below, from Ccoley.com. Although I disagree with the location of Gomer on this map, since most maps put Gomer in Turkey, the rest of the territories appear to be accurate. The green area represents Magog.
As seen on the map, God sends fire on Russia, or Magog, on those dwelling securely in the coastlands. Since Russia has no west coast, the east coast is where His wrath will fall.
Like most countries, the most expensive real estate is coastal, by and large, because of the moderate climate. As ocean front properties go, the warmer ones tend to be the costliest.
In Russia, the southern coastlands have comparatively nice weather, being on the same latitudinal lines as England.
Who but the rich run countries, behind the scenes? It is logical, therefore, the oligarchs complicit in the siege of Israel presently live on the coastlands of Russia. Regardless of this opinion, God will rain fire on men somewhere on Russia’s coast, mirroring His actions against Gog’s army. Here’s a map to make things clear.
Israel is about three thousand miles from the coastlands of Russia, as the crow soars. Again, when God acts, fire will fall from the sky in Israel, and in the coastlands of Russia. This will not be seen as a coincidence by the population of earth. The nations will indeed know God’s power has come.
Why wouldn’t God exercise judgement on Gog’s forces, as well as on those who have planned and empowered Gog’s attack? Gog himself may be a man living securely in the coastlands, for all that can be known, coordinating the siege from his computer. Perhaps Putin is only a figurehead.
It’s more likely, however, Putin is in total command, with the greedy oligarchy pinched under his thumb using KGB tactics from his previous career. This is only opinion, in light of world events. The man God calls Gog is not named in Scripture, entering the possibility Gog is only a title.
When our Creator ends the siege, killing Gog and his army, Israel will take the spoil of those who were against them. What will those spoils be? Since the only notable treasure in the Middle East is oil, and in light of Israel’s current military and nuclear strength, it is logical to conclude the Jews will take ownership of the oil, making Israel a superpower. This will become clear as we move through Ezekiel’s prophecy.
Since Gog’s forces will be thwarted prior to the emergence of antichrist, and since Israel will logically take control of the oil afterward, why wouldn’t the post-rapture population hate the Jews more than ever? How easy will it be, therefore, to turn the world against God’s people, antichrist painting them as greedy and rich, financially subjugating the world economy?
After the siege of Gog is over, the Jews will be gathered to Israel after God delivers them.
“Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:
Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob
and have mercy on the whole house of Israel,
and I will be jealous for my holy name.
They shall forget their shame
and all the treachery they have practiced against me,
when they dwell securely in their land with none to make them afraid,
when I have brought them back from the peoples
and gathered them from their enemies’ lands,
and through them have vindicated my holiness in the sight of many nations.
Then they shall know that I am the LORD their God,
because I sent them into exile among the nations
and then assembled them into their own land.
I will leave none of them remaining among the nations anymore.
Ezekiel 39:25–29
It is a feasible conclusion, therefore, after Israel returns home, they will take control of the oil interests of the world, extending their borders to the original boundaries, from the Tigris and Euphrates rivers to the Mediterranean to the borders of Turkey and North Africa. They will be more wealthy than Saudi Arabia is now, defending their land with frightening might. They will be powerful like never before, since God has declared, “none will make them afraid,” not even the future antichrist.
Having secured the highest-grade crude oil in the world, along with Saudi Arabia’s shipping infrastructure, God’s bounty will be raining on them. They will proceed to institute the Mosaic Law, cleansing the land by burring the bodies of their attackers for seven months, as is required under the Law. Though it won’t be part of the ritual cleansing, they will also burn weapons (this is key) for seven years. They will burn weapons for warmth, to cook etc., for seven years.
Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel
will go out and make fires of the weapons
and burn them,
shields and bucklers,
bow and arrows,
clubs and spears;
and they will make fires of them for seven years,
so that they will not need to take wood out of the field
or cut down any out of the forests,
for they will make their fires of the weapons.
They will seize the spoil of those who despoiled them,
and plunder those who plundered them,
declares the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel 39:9–10
Following God’s deliverance from the largest army ever assembled, Israel will burn weapons for seven years and bury bodies for seven months. This chronology isn’t possible following the battle of Armageddon, laying out another distinction between the different wars.
With Jesus ruling from Jerusalem after He wins Armageddon, it is illogical the Jews will need rifle-stock fires to keep warm or to cook over.
Why will they burn rifle stocks? The primary firearm of Russia, as well as the other nations who will be with them, continues to be the AK-47. Unlike America’s M-16s, M-4s and AR-10’s, the Russian Kalashnikov has a wooden stock and fore grip. If every soldier following Gog will have two rifles, it will be a crazy tonnage of wood. The presence of so many rifles makes more sense when one considers the Cold War stockpiles of Russia.
Reading this, one might ask, “Why will they need to burn rifle butts to heat their homes and cook their food? Israel is a modern nation, with natural gas and electricity, just like the United States.”
Imagine a mass migration of Jews moving out of the nations to the holy land. In immense gratitude for being delivered from such terrible evil, every Jew on earth will feel the call home. With so many crossing the boarders of Israel, there will be a great need for laborers, in the expanded land, with an endless supply of high-grade oil to pay the bills. Restoring the fortunes of Jacob means they will own the oil, since crude remains the single most sought-after resource in the Middle East. No other natural commodity scratches the surface of oil revenue, although the other plunder tempting Russia will be Israel’s nuclear weapons, advanced military munitions and mechanized infantry.
Even though there will be no shortage of money in the newly liberated Israel, there will not be houses and modern utilities to accommodate so many immigrants. Still they will come, knowing they will have no brick and mortar homes waiting for them. After overflowing the cities, most will have to live outside, forming massive camps like Bedouin villages.
As a matter of course, building takes time. Even so, it will be a joyous moment for the Jews, camping upon the land of their fathers, while entire neighborhoods are being erected with the best materials money can buy. Construction will likely take years, resulting in the most powerful nation the world has ever known, especially if Israel retains compulsory military service on their law books.
Imagine how lush their modern properties will be, spanning from Gaza to the borders of Iran. Superhighways, airports, skyscrapers, golf courses and resorts will spring up, like Dubai wealth has become a blessed cancer, coating the sands and shores with Israeli construction. Could this really happen?
The Jews already have the most advanced weaponry available, thanks to their alliance with the allied powers. With the best tools of war in their arsenal, they’ve stomped any who’ve dared attack since 1948. How much more military might will Israel acquire, when money is no longer an issue? How many carriers, submarines, jets and tanks will they buy from America, England and other industrialized nations, having been gifted the most needed raw material on the planet, apart from food?
These are the wonderful truths Christians must hold dear, when Russia moves to invade Israel. The siege of Gog will be terrifying, but not for long. God will till under the enemies of Jacob, fertilizing His fields will their rebellious blood. From that soil will grow the most blessed nation on earth.
“Why would Russia want Israel’s land?” one might ask. “What’s there? They don’t have any oil, do they?” Make no mistake about it, there’s more than good will and friendship behind Israel’s alliance with the United States and Great Britain.
As a nuclear power in the region, with a proven military, Israel constitutes a huge base strategically placed to guard the oil interests of the world. Anyone who wants to take over the Middle East will have to defeat Israel first. After all, isn’t it odd how Saudi Arabia has no nuclear weapons, advanced Air Force, or navy? With so much oil money to guard, one would think they’d have built a formidable defense. Why not? Israel is why.
As much as the Arabs hate to admit it, the sons of Jacob stand like sentries against any who’d dare threaten the oil. With most of America’s military bases now removed from the Middle East, how afraid will the princes of Saudi Arabia be, when Russia is on their doorstep? How impotent will their treasure become, when a nuclear military swoops in, laying siege to Israel? They will ask America and the United Kingdom why they are sitting on their thumbs, even as the wealthy evacuate. Their knees will knock as they sneak onto private jets, sweating at the thought of being shot down by a MiG. God is in control.
Russia knows Israel protects the oil, as sure as the Berlin Wall fell. Why else wouldn’t the man called Gog simply take the Persian Gulf lands, seizing the oil from a seemingly unprotected royal family? Hear now the Word of the Lord, as He speaks to Gog.
“Thus says the Lord GOD:
On that day,
thoughts will come into your mind,
and you will devise an evil scheme and say,
‘I will go up against the land of unwalled villages.
I will fall upon the quiet people who dwell securely,
all of them dwelling without walls,
and having no bars or gates,
to seize spoil and carry off plunder,
to turn your hand against the waste places that are now inhabited,
and the people who were gathered from the nations,
who have acquired livestock and goods,
who dwell at the center of the earth.
Ezekiel 38:10–12
He who controls the oil holds the largest financial leverage. Putin wants the oil, as sure as paint dries in the summer, but he’ll have to go through Israel to get it.
When reading Ezekiel 38 and 39, it’s easy to get lost in the details, missing how God is bringing this to be. Stepping back to see the broad strokes of His almighty brush, these are the important things to remember.
““And my holy name I will make known in the midst of my people Israel,
and I will not let my holy name be profaned anymore.
And the nations shall know that I am the LORD,
the Holy One in Israel.”
Ezekiel 39:7 ESV
Led by the head ruler called Gog, these nations will seek to neutralize Israel with troops so numerous, they will blanket the land like a cloud, swooping in like a storm. God will allow them to come, in order to deal with them like Sodom and Gomorrah, be they in the open fields of Israel, or sipping vodka on a veranda overlooking a Russian beach.
What can be learned about what Russia has been doing to prepare for this siege, from God’s Word? Here’s an overview of what Gog, who will be a Russian, has been up to since the fall of the Iron Curtain. As stated earlier, Putin may or may not be Gog.
Russia’s Chess Game
In 1991, after the fall of the Berlin wall, the allied powers convinced Ukraine to give her nuclear weapons to Russia, who promised to destroy them as part of a nuclear disarmament agreement. In turn, western powers agreed to protect Ukraine, having pushed them to surrender their nuclear weapons in the first place. In the 2022nd year of our Lord, have the western powers kept their word? Are they protecting Ukraine?
Not long after Ukraine neutered themselves, the world got to see how ‘in bed’ Russia was with the Islamic nation of Iran, when their uranium enrichment programs were discovered in the 2000’s. The allied powers protested Iran’s secret nuclear program, yet neither Mossad, MI6 nor the US conducted operations to destroy the facilities. This is attributed to a report claiming Iran had stopped their nuclear efforts as early as 2003, according to the IAEA.
Did the post 911 intelligence agencies truly believe Iran had stopped efforts to gain enriched uranium? Not likely. Instead, the Persian and Russian alliance shouted, and continues to shout, they’ve already gone nuclear, cutting the story out of the news cycle as clean as a sterilized scalpel.
No nuclear nation has yet been invaded throughout history, for fear of starting nuclear war. If Iraq had had nukes in the 1990’s, for example, the US would have never bombed them. How less likely is it a nuclear capable country, with Russia as their ally, will be invaded?
Even after uniformed Iranian regulars launched 3000 rockets into Israel in 2006, by way of Lebanon, Mossad dared not to cut off the head of the snake, even using anonymous operatives posing as internal rebels. This is a telling truth, lending credence to Iran’s possible nuclear capability.
As to the prophecy about Gog’s siege, by making an alliance with Iran, Russia gained a western doorway into the Middle East, along with oil to grease their amassing war machine.
Moving forward to August of 2013, the United States rose up to stop the Syrian civil war, after chemical weapons were used on civilians near Damascus. Immediately, Russia came forward, offering to destroy the chemical weapons, being on good terms with Syria’s leadership.
As soon as Russia brought in troops, building barracks, airports and other military infrastructure, the civil war was effectively over. Russia never left the region at the end of the war, however, remaining imbedded at Israel’s back door, continuing to build up their might in the name of peace keeping.
In February of 2014, Putin made another dastardly move on the world’s chess board. Russia took the Crimean Peninsula with little resistance, moving troops into the area to protect their interests, or so they said. In the same month of March, the people of Crimea “Voted” to join their land with Russia, resulting in sanctions against Putin’s inner circle by Western governments. In short, the Western powers did nothing but protest the sham vote, allowing the Crimean Peninsula to be taken.
From 2014 to now, Russia has been fortifying their position in southern Ukraine to facilitate the present attack. Do we really think the intelligence agencies of the West have no knowledge of this? Haven’t they been watching Russia? Since it is illogical to assume western eyes have been blind to Russia’s military buildup around Ukraine, why has nothing been done before now? Where were the sanctions levied in 2015? Why weren’t Russian goods and services boycotted by the world in 2017? God knows.
Now, Russia has deployed their military into Ukraine, prompted by a global political climate where rulers are too afraid and corrupt to stop them. Threatening nuclear retaliation, should the powerful countries grow a backbone to interfere, Putin is poised to add another territory to Russia, on the shores of the Black Sea, just north of the Middle East. With all of Ukraine’s natural resources, access to the Mediterranean from the Black Sea and a formidable navy of subs and aircraft carriers, Russia will now enjoy air superiority over Israel, when they decide to lay siege.
Persia, Cush, and Put are with them,
all of them with shield and helmet;
Gomer and all his hordes;
Beth-Togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north
with all his hordes — many peoples are with you.
Ezekiel 38:5–6
Who are the peoples who will join Gog’s siege against Israel? What significance do they have in the current geo-political sphere?
Persia is clearly Iran, although other nations could be included, being located in the region. As for Cush and Put, they reside in North Africa, whose nations have a history of hate for Israel. Gomer, on most maps, is shown as Turkey. Beth-Togarmah, or, literally, the house of Togarmah, is the area of Armenia, just east of Turkey. Adding in the, “many peoples with you,” element of the prophecy, the names and regions God gave Ezekiel denote the general geography and ethnic history of those involved. There are two other peoples named, Meshech and Tubal, having Gog as their leader. These are Russian peoples likely located in the steps of the former Soviet Union. Meshech and Tubal could also be a general description of the population of Russia in total.
It’s important not to get caught up in searching out who will join Gog. God knows. The better path is to see how each area and people have treated Israel in the past, in order to show family and friends how understandable God’s prophecy is. In short, God will curse those who curse Israel, as promised to the first Jew, Abraham, so long ago.
Iran is no friend of Israel and her allies, keeping close ties with Russia, as already proven. Turkey is very friendly with Russia, and no friend of Israel, being Islamic and bordering lands under heavy Russian influence. The nations of North Africa have warred with Israel in the past. As for Armenia, they might be neutral, on the surface, but one must wonder, in light of this prophecy and their proximity to Russia.
Importantly, Gomer, or Turkey, borders the Black Sea, making it a gateway country to the holy land from the north, bordering Syria. Iran is a gateway from the east, as stated, with a vast territory for Russia to muster troops and supplies in. North Africa, though not connected to Russia, houses a ready horde of Jew haters, being Russia’s door to the south of Israel. As for the western front, the Black Sea connects to the Mediterranean, giving Russia the ability to land troops on the beaches.
North, south, east and west, the sleeping western nations have allowed Russia to encompass God’s people, all the while calling Israel their ally. The stage for Gog’s invasion is set.
As to we sleeping westerners, the apathy of Tarshish and the young lions thereof is sickening.
Sheba and Dedan
and the merchants of Tarshish
and all its leaders (literally, “the young lions thereof) will say to you,
‘Have you come to seize spoil?
Have you assembled your hosts to carry off plunder,
to carry away silver and gold,
to take away livestock and goods,
to seize great spoil?’
Ezekiel 38:13
Sheba and Dedan represent Saudi Arabia, geographically. As for the merchants of Tarshish, a look at the maps below reveals Tarshish is in modern Spain, along a maritime trade route including the lands bordering the Mediterranean, as well as modern France, England and even the Nordic lands. Remember, it will be the merchants of Tarshish, not Spain alone.
That said, who are the young lions of Tarshish? The United States of America is included in the group, being the historically young descendants of, not only England, but all of the peoples connected to the Tarshish trade route, especially when considering the voyages of Christopher Columbus. Young as we are, the Americas represent the most multi-ethnic nations on earth, with many races represented. This is keenly observed in the United States, where the houses of Congress employ a diverse mix of elected officials.
As a nation, the USA is young indeed. Since most of America’s population came from England, their ethnicity remains majority White. Could America be the young lions of England as well as Spain, since both were Caucasian in antiquity? Take a moment to consider the ancient crest of Great Britain below.
There is a lion and a unicorn on the crest, meaning America could represent the young lions of England, specifically mentioned in the prophecy. Either way, all the nations associated with the merchants of Tarshish will do nothing to help Israel. They will protest, like they currently are against Russia’s attack on Ukraine, their peoples being unwilling to commit to another war. They will shake their golden scepters and speak hollow words, unwilling to go to help a seemingly helpless land.
The good news is, God blesses those who bless Israel. As sad as it will be to watch Russia invade the Jews, take heart. While spineless western rulers will surely begin forging an alliance with Putin, behind the scenes, hold fast to the Word. Hebrews 4:12 remains true.
Pray for Ukraine, having full confidence in God to vindicate them. Pray for Israel, thanking God for His unstoppable plan of victory.
In the aftermath of Gog’s death, as Jews flood boats, planes and trains pointed toward their home, God will remember the nations who’ve been a friend to Jacob. He will recall how the allied powers spent so many lives fighting Nazi Germany. Friends of Israel will be rewarded.
A Return to God
Imagine a world reeling in the wake of God’s Almighty power. What will people do, after God’s wrath falls on evil like embers on slugs, raining fire on a fifty-million-man army?
As wayward as we are, with evil permeating our lives like acrid smoke through a burning house, there will be a time of great clarity and repentance after God’s judgement.
As the precursors to God’s intervention unfold, the people of the world, glued to televisions, phones and tablets, will shed tears of helplessness for Israel. We will be watching as Gog’s horde dives into the land like locusts on wheat. Churches will call special meetings to pray for the Jews, begging God to help.
Should children beg the Father to help His own? No. God will act, in a way not seen since the flood destroyed all but eight persons. His hand will move, unleashing righteous fervor upon men who dare oppose Him. No eye will escape beholding His judgement.
The smug faces of Gog’s forces, salivating over the oil, will be filled with pride, having imposed themselves upon the earth without opposition. Will the largest army ever known be laughing? Will they declare victory, having overtaken the hills and open fields of Israel? If they do plant their flag in Israel, will the world lose hope, preparing to live in a new reality altered by evil?
Believers must stand strong in the Word, informed by God’s prophet Ezekiel.
“It’s only a matter of time,” they should say, sure of God’s outstretched arm.
According to God’s Will, in His time, disease, fratricide and volcanic power, if the falling fire proves geologic, will be unleashed on Gog’s minions. They will be violently overthrown in total, but the servants of God’s kingdom should not smile. We should not be glad.
It will be too much death and judgement to absorb, no matter how believing we think we are. Falling to our knees, our sins will emerge under the light of God’s wrath as numerous as stomped ant hill. We will feel stupid for worrying about money, romance, health, losing weight or what car to buy. There will be tears of regret, understanding how years have been wasted on such selfish enterprises.
When has hail killed evil? Not since the ten plagues of Egypt. When has God employed burning sulfur from the sky upon his enemies? Not since He cleaned Sodom and Gomorrah from the well-watered plain of the Jordan, leaving the Dead Sea in its stead. The Dead Sea, the lowest place above ground at 1250 feet below sea level. Why hasn’t that deep scar of judgement continually reminded the world of God’s sovereignty?
What a terrible, glorious day it will be, when sinful mankind bends the knee to the Ruler of Heaven and earth. Even if humanity’s repentance is short-lived, Christianity should savor the coming days, when people will walk with God, albeit out of fear. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, as Solomon wrote in Proverbs.
Now is the time to pray. Now is the time to study. Now is the time to gather as God’s people, confidently asking for His will to be shown to us. May God bless you and yours.
